In electrical systems, high temperatures may indicate failing components, ground faults, excessive electrical resistance, short circuits or other common problems in electrical equipment that can cause failure. In mechanical systems high temperatures can be created by worn components, lubrication failure, poor alignment or other common mechanical problems. With thermographic inspections, many potential problems can be easily identified and addressed before a potential failure.
